LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The winner of Kentucky Derby 140 returned to the track today Wednesday.

California Chrome hit the Churchill Downs dirt just before 7:00 a.m. and put in a one mile jog with exercise rider William Delgado aboard. California Chrome's connections say the horse trained well and "is his normal self". The horse is expected to continue training at the track until he is shipped to Baltimore for the Preakness early next week. Joining California Chrome on the track were four other Preakness hopefuls, including Ride On Curlin, who finished seventh in the Derby.
