SPARTA, Ky. -- Kentucky Speedway's marquee event has a new date for 2015.
The track has announced the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Quaker State 400 will be moved to Saturday, July 11, two weeks later than it was this year. The track will also host the NASCAR support races on July 9 and 10 as part of the track's traditional triple header.
The move puts the race in the schedule slot it originally occupied in its inaugural year in 2011
Kentucky Speedway officials says they like their spot on the schedule, despite the fact it overlaps part of the festivities surrounding the baseball All-Star Game in Cincinnati.
