OWENSBORO, Ky. -- A western Kentucky man is making a living by seeing the world at just over 220 M.P.H.

33 year old Nicky Hayden is in his 12th season on the MotoGP circuit working his way up from dirt track racing. Hayden, who is currently sidelined with a wrist injury, says the fan base may not be as big as NASCAR but says they are just as passionate.

He says racing is a family affair that started with his mom and dad and continues with his younger brothers.

The MotoGP series is at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend. Hayden says despite the injury, he'll be at the track to meet fans assist his fill-in rider during the race.
