The Georgia capitol's Piedmont Park was the scene Sunday night, as protesters mistakenly vandalized and tried to take down a monument.
The Peace Monument, erected in 1911, depicts an angel trying to get a Confederate soldier to lay down his gun. One police officer on duty in the park was called a "pig" by anti-fascist protesters, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution's blog.
